Coming Soon: 3rd Annual - Project Homeless Connect

The City of Redding/Shasta County Continuum of Care Council identified 3,532 individuals who were homeless or imminently at-risk of becoming homeless in 2010. Tragically, 877 of those individuals were children. To combat this challenge, Shasta County is offering an innovative solution by hosting Project Homeless Connect at the Redding Convention Center. This one-stop resource-collaborative targets the men, women, and children of Shasta County who are homeless or at-risk of becoming homeless. Our goal is to offer guests access to services and long-term solutions to help them eventually move off the streets and into permanent housing. Numerous vital services will be available to our neighbors in-need, all in one location, for one day, at no cost.

Last year, we were able to provide over 1,000 of these neighbors in-need with assistance in obtaining identification, housing, employment, education, children’s services, legal aid, medical services, vision assistance, dental aid, food, and other individual needs.

How you can help: If you would like to partner in changing lives through this dynamic strategy, donations can be made payable to Northern Valley Catholic Social Service. Please include PHC in the memo line.
